Widget’s Grant for the Web grant included a line item for free, promotional ’zines left at coffee shops, record stores, etc. – how optimistic we were about public spaces at that time!

Seeing as we’re all confined to our homes, here’s the next best thing: a free, full-colour, gorgeous (yeah we said it!) PDF magazine including all the posts from this month.

Paul Cecchini is an award-winning freelance writer from Springfield, Missouri, USA who specializes in the fields of entertainment and comedy–mostly because he doesn’t know much about anything else. Likes: Cats, egg nog. Dislikes: Alarm clocks, when people use the phrase “once upon a time” outside the realm of fairy tales.

Emily Knapp is a writer and comedian living in Colorado. She is originally from Chicago, but fled west because she really likes seeing the sun in February. Her writing has been featured in Writers Resist, McSweeney’s, Points in Case, Slackjaw, and other places on the internet. Her apartment currently resides in Golden, but you can find her in the mountains writing, hiking, running, or skiing. If she’s not doing any of that, she is 100% eating tacos.

Sherel writes travel pieces for USA Today 10best.com and others. She has just started publishing short, mostly autobiographical pieces and photography in literary magazines.

Eric is a father, an employee, and a reluctant member of the PMC. When he isn’t attending Zoom meetings, he spends his time thinking up ways to criticize himself and other members of his class. He is currently working on a self-help book about surviving the suburbs which he intends on releasing once his lawn care commitments are fulfilled.

Alec Moore is a writer, producer, actor and comedian. He’s currently co-producing his first feature film from a script he wrote, “Advanced Chemistry”. Alec graduated from UCLA’s MFA in Screenwriting program in 2014. His web series “The Public Offender” would be very critically acclaimed if critics were aware of it. His mother will also be happy to tell you additional nice things about him. Alec is a Brooklyn native and a graduate of Haverford College, a school so prestigious that most people have never heard of it. He appreciates that you have read all the way to the end of his bio.

Susan Sassi
Susan Sassi is a TV writing competition finalist, satirist, stand-up comedian, and professional Cathy impersonator living in Los Angeles. Her web series Cathy In Real Life, a parody of lovable chocoholic Cathy Comic strip, was an official selection of multiple film festivals, including Dances with Films, CineFest, IFS, WRPN, LA Comedy Fest, and Etheria Film Night. Susan has published satire in Slackjaw, Weekly Humorist, Robot Butt, Jane Austen’s Wastebasket, Little Old Lady Comedy, The Platypus News, and Greener Pastures. Follow her on social media to see so many cat photos, that you’ll worry about her well-being.
Gracie Beaver-Kairis
Gracie Beaver-Kairis is a humor and fiction writer based in the Pacific Northwest. Her writing has been featured in McSweeney’s, Slackjaw, Weekly Humorist, Belladonna Comedy, and other publications. Despite living in Oregon for her entire life, she has never seen Sasquatch and is salty about it.
